Welcome to West Newton Volunteer Fire Company Inc. website.

The West Newton Volunteer Fire Company was established in 1907. The West Newton Volunteer Fire Company is located about 30 miles south of the City of Pittsburgh. We respond to approximately 225 alarms yearly in both Westmoreland and Allegheny County. We are recognized as Station 82 in Westmoreland County and Station 356 in Allegheny County

Numerous changes have taken place throughout the years. From our first motorized truck, our 1914 Model T Ford to our brand new station. Many progressive changes have taken place throughout our 100 years of existance.

We our now complimented by 30 dedicated volunteer hardworking members, and our 6 pieces of firefighting apparatus to include our, Mack/E-One 50' tele squrt, Ford/E-One Rescue Engine, Seagrave 100' ladder truck,Pirsch light Rescue, Chevy Silverado Squad and our Chevy Suburban Squad.

We are always looking to better ourselves, if you are interested in joining our company, we train every Thursday night from 7-9 PM, but we pride ourselves on the fact that we are always there. TREE DOWN

West Newton P.D. requested the SQUAD to 4th St in the borough for a large tree down blocking the roadway. The SQUAD went enroute with 3 Volunteers. West Newton P.D. assisted at the scene and the tree was removed from the roadway in under 10 minutes and all 82 units cleared  the scene....
